I was in grammar school, St. Stephen's in Oil City PA when I first met Phil Scrimenti who was a teacher for a few years. His upbeat and kind demeanor made such an impact on me and I carried those memories into my adulthood.
I reconnected with him a few times over the years and followed him on Facebook. In recent years Phil has posted about the courageous journey of his wife, Sydney, as she battles breast cancer. As a show of support, I decided to start a fundraiser by creating jewelry and other items. I will be donating proceeds to their cause to assist with medical expenses for Sydney's treatment.
