First Holy Communion Rosary making event
I was the proud owner of a bead shop in Erie PA. In 2007, I was approached by parishoners of St Jude the Apostle Church to inquire if I could organize a rosary project in order for the parents to make a First Communion rosary for their children. They provided information about a similar project that was conducted in a parish in another state. It was a wonderful event and once additional parishes in Erie heard about it, they requested that I coordinate the project for their church as well. My store closed its doors in 2008 but I continued to work with St. Jude's through the years until 2019.
In 2021, I moved to Bethel Park and I am excited to bring this event to the Pittsburgh area!

How it works
First thing you need to know - no prior jewelry making experience is required! I will be on hand to walk you through the process.
Anyone interested MUST pre-register for this event as the rosaries will be personalized. The participant will provide:
Over the years I have encountered several challenges (ie: Church name is more than 10 letters). I can work with the family member/friend to come up with a solution.

- The name of the church
- The date of the First Holy Communion
- The celebrant's first name
Over the years I have encountered several challenges (ie: Church name is more than 10 letters). I can work with the family member/friend to come up with a solution.
I will prepare kits prior to the event. The kits include glass letter beads, glass or gemstone round beads, and gemstone crosses. I provide the stringing material and a diagram so the participants can simply sit down and start stringing the beads. You will be able to select the colored beads to complete the rosary on the day of the event.
As I said earlier, I will be on hand to answer questions and finish the completed rosary to ensure that the project is successful.
