Organizing a group activity

I have done this project with St. Jude's Church for over 10 years and have the process set up so it goes seamlessly for the organizer!  Below are the steps that are required as well as a few examples of flyers etc.  Cost for this project is $25.

  • First, the organizer will set a date for the event.  Frequently a weekday evening works well as it only takes about one hour to complete.  A room that is well lit works best.
  •  A flyer will be created and sent to the organizer with information about the event. 
    • Flyer will include date, time, location, as well as a section for participants to  provide necessary information for preparation purposes.
    • A link will be created website for participants to submit information and pay via PayPal.
    • The organizer will collect forms/payments if  participants want to pay with cash or check. 
    • A link for the organizer will be created to submit completed form information or arrangements can be made to pick up information.  
  • Information required (names, dates, etc.) is needed at least one week in advance.  Efforts for last minute submissions will be attempted.  All kits must be prepaid.

  • Prior to the event, I will coordinate kits.  The kits will include glass letter beads for:  
    • Child's name
    • Church
    • Date 
  • Glass beads in an assortment of colors will be available to chosen on the day of the event.
  • A diagram for instruction will be provided.
  • The stringing material will be prepared so participants can begin project as soon as they are seated.
  • I will remain with the participants to provide guidance and do the finishing touches!
